New Materials and Processes for Integrated Systems

The development of miniaturized integrated systems requires new processes and materials compatible with silicon technology. We aim to explore new materials and processfor the heterogeneous interation of polymer/organic and colloidal semiconductors with CMOS or wearable platforms for bioassays and biochips, in special niches such as sensing, in-situ stimulation, and lighting. From fundamental point of view we would like to develop engineering strategies that utilize the nanoscale phenomena and interactions giving rise to new functional devices that interface gas, electrolyte, and biological systems.
